I can remember sitting solo in the window for your first tastings, and then suddenly someone told the WHOLE WORLD about Swirl and it became standing room only. I have fond memories of holiday singing, tap dancing, wine tasting, not to mention a thousand and one conversations that have taken place in that store - is my number still carved on the counter top? Seriously you both took a plaster and concrete and brought it to life and gave our neighborhood and the city a place where everyone knows your name. Think how many people, lonely or bored, can simply walk out of their home and head to Swirl where they will surely be entertained, inspired or at the very least well tended. My best memory of Swirl though is always the one about to happen - the one where I walk through the door and see you both looking back at me with your smiling faces. Here's to the next 5 years.Rachel Dangermondhttp://www.dangermond.orgnoreply@blogger.com
